Step 1: Predesign
During the pre‐design consultation you can expect:
- Information gathering
- Question and answer
- Initial rough estimate
In this step we discuss what is necessary to complete the project the way you want it.
Step 2: Design
After acceptance of the pre‐design and payment of a design fee, during the design phase you can expect:
- Initial drawings that may include plan view, elevation view, and 3d drawing
- Design review and revision
- Material selection
- Revised written estimate
Once you are completely satisfied, we move to contract.
Step 3: Contract Acceptance
During contract acceptance, the following milestones take place:
- Final design approved
- Cost estimate approved
- Select hardware
- 50% deposit required
- Work schedule review
Estimated installation date discussed (2‐10 weeks depending on the project)
When the written work order is signed and deposit made, we move to construction.
Step 4: Construction
During construction, your cabinets are custom built using only the finest quality, hand‐selected woods. The process includes:
- Planning and layout
- Fabrication
- Assembly
- Finishing
- Installation date confirmed
You may request construction photos to watch the progress of your cabinets. Toward the end of
construction, we will discuss installation, which may include preparation work on your part.
Step 5: Installation
Installation varies by project and may include:
- Preparation of the area by homeowner
- Demolition, if required
- Site construction, if required
- Cabinet and hardware installation
- Testing of all installed components
- Orientation and review
- Final payment
During the orientation and review, you will learn how to maintain your heirloom quality product. Final payment is made after all work is completed, and will never be requested before then.
